Install games on your calculator

Choose your calculator and follow its steps. You will need a computer and a cable that transfers data.

NumWorks

Use a NumWorks account, Google Chrome, and a USB data cable.

  1. Choose a NumWorks game and select Download to save its .py file.
  2. Sign in to the NumWorks workshop. In My scripts, create a script and paste in the full contents of the downloaded file. Use the filename without .py as the script name.
  3. Connect your calculator by USB. Select Send to my calculator in the workshop and choose your device when Chrome asks.
  4. On the calculator, open Python. In each game's settings, turn Auto import in shell off so opening the shell does not start several games.
  5. Open Python shell and import the game you want to run. For Snake, enter from snake import * and press EXE. Replace snake with the other game's script name, such as minesweeper.

Press Back to interrupt a running script.

Calculator not detected? Allow the device connection in Chrome and try another data cable or USB port. See NumWorks' connection help.

Casio fx-CG100

Use the calculator's Python app and a USB data cable.

  1. Choose a Casio game and download its .py file. Keep the original filename, including game2048.py.
  2. Connect the calculator to your computer. On the calculator, select USB Flash in the connection-mode dialog and confirm.
  3. Open the calculator drive on your computer. Copy the file to the root of that drive, alongside its existing folders.
  4. Safely eject the calculator drive, then disconnect the cable.
  5. Open Python on the calculator, select the script, and execute it.

Script missing? Check that the file ends in .py, rather than .py.txt, and is in the drive's root. Keep game2048.py named as supplied; a Python module name cannot start with a digit.

TI-83 Plus

These downloads are for monochrome calculators. TI-84 Plus CE and other color models need different game builds.

  1. Choose a TI game and download its .8xp file.
  2. For a TI-83 Plus, use a compatible USB-to-calculator I/O link cable and TI Connect 4.0. TI Connect CE serves USB-port models; it does not replace the older link software for an I/O-only TI-83 Plus. Check the software's operating-system requirements before installing.
  3. Turn the calculator on and connect it. Use TI Connect's file-transfer tool to send the downloaded program to the calculator. Scott Mangiapane’s games should be available in RAM when launched with Asm(.

Run the Scott Mangiapane games

From the calculator's home screen, press 2nd then CATALOG, choose Asm(, and press PRGM. Select FLAPBIRD, IRONPANT, FALL, THELINE, or TUNNEL, close the parenthesis, and press ENTER. For example: Asm(prgmFLAPBIRD).

Run Phoenix

Phoenix 4.3 for TI-83 Plus requires MirageOS, according to the author's manual. Install the shell using its own instructions, transfer Phoenix, then launch it from MirageOS. See the Phoenix manual and MirageOS project for setup.

Program will not start? Check the calculator model, program name, available RAM, and the game's required launcher. Follow the game's source instructions for model-specific requirements.
