How to Interpret Your Results

• Fuel efficiency: 28 MPG
• Fuel price: $3.80 per gallon
• Daily parking and tolls: $7.00

First, calculate daily fuel use:

30 miles ÷ 28 MPG ≈ 1.07 gallons per day.

Daily fuel cost is:

Monthly driving cost:

$11.07 × 22 ≈ $243.54 per month.

In this example, public transit is roughly $122.54 cheaper per month than driving, or about $1,470 per year if your pattern stays the same.
